One invitation for a Russian–Indian wedding

How to honour two cultures, three languages and every grandparent on a single card.

Mixed weddings are some of the most beautiful we see in Goa. The challenge is the invitation: two families, two traditions, often three languages.

Lead with what you share

Open with your names and the love story, then let each family's traditions appear in the programme: ZAGS or a church blessing, mehendi, sangeet, the pheras.

Write to each family in their own words

Create matching versions in Russian and Hindi rather than cramming three languages onto one card. Your guests will feel personally invited.

Sacred invocations such as Shri Ganesh or the Orthodox cross are lovely touches, and should appear only where the couple wants them.
